Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) is a franchise cricket team that represents the city of Hyderabad in the IPL. The team was founded in 2012, replacing the Deccan Chargers, another IPL team based in Hyderabad.
Since their debut in 2013, Sunrisers Hyderabad has been a consistent performer in the IPL. In their first season, the team reached the playoffs but was eliminated in the eliminator match. However, in 2016, Sunrisers Hyderabad won their maiden IPL title, defeating Royal Challengers Bangalore in the final.
In the 2020 season, Sunrisers Hyderabad finished third in the league stage but lost to Delhi Capitals in the qualifier 2 match, failing to reach the final.
